  • Traver Dabney

    DVM

    Dr. Dabney is a 2002 graduate of the University of Kentucky. Upon graduation from veterinary school at Auburn University in 2006, Dr. Dabney started his career at VCAWoodford Animal Hospital in 2002. He and his wife Kelli have 3 daughters along with 3 cats and 2 dogs. When not spending time with his family Dr. Dabney enjoys running and shooting sporting clays.

  • Madeleine Stoops

    DVM

    Dr. Stoops joined the VCA Woodford team in 2007 after graduating from Auburn University Veterinary School. She currently lives in Versailles with her husband Ben and son Dylan. They have three furry children, Sofia, Shelby and Annie. She enjoys photography, biking and hiking.

  • Loyde Jolly

    DVM

    Dr. Jolly has been with us since 1991. A native of Owensboro, he attended Apollo High School and graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1983 with a degree in animal science. He graduated from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. He and his wife Terri have four children, Christopher, Morgan, Zack and Kayla. They are members of South Elkorn Baptist Church. When not working or spending time with his family Dr. Jolly enjoys playing golf, bowling and fishing. Dr. Jolly's especially enjoys the challenges of internal medicine, surgery and geriatric medicine.

  • Kathleen MacLeod

    VMD

    VCA Woodford Animal Hospital is proud to have Dr. Kathy MacLeod as one of only two resident board certified dermatologists in Kentucky. Dr. MacLeod has been interested in dermatology since her second year of veterinary school. It was at that time she adopted a golden retriever who was suffering from demodicosis. Working very close with the dermatologists at the University of Pennsylvania, the problem was solved and she became "hooked on derm". Dr. MacLeod takes great pride in having trained with two world renown veterinary dermatologists.. Drs. Scott and Miller at Cornell University. Since most dermatology problems are chronic by nature, Dr. MacLeod treasures the close relationships that develop with her clients during the treatment process. Dr. MacLeod is married to Dr. Jamie MacLeod who is a veterinary researcher at The Gluck Institute for Equine Research at the University of Kentucky. They have a daughter, Erin, who enjoys playing volleyball and tennis.

  • Dale Eckert

    DVM

    Dr. Eckert, our medical director, has been a veteriarian at VCA Woodford since 1978. He has been married to his wife Ginny for over 30 years and has two daughters, Casey and Kelly. Casey is also a veterinarian. In his free time Dr. Eckert is involved in many church activities and he enjoys sports and shooting sporting clays. He is also wellknown for the beautiful wildflower field he plants each year. Although Dr. Eckert provides a wide range of services to his clients he has always had special interests in orthopedic surgery and small animal reproduction.

  • Jonathan Korten

    DVM

    Dr. Korten spent two years at VCA Woodford before returning to his home state of Michigan. With the beauty of the bluegrass state calling his name he returned two years later to the delight of many clients. Dr. Korten has built a house in Versailles and plans to be here for many years. He enjoys entertaining friends, soccer, hiking, deep sea fishing and home improvement projects. Dr. Korten can totally geek-out with a good scifi book or movie. Dr. Korten's primary medical interests include pain management, GI disease and emergency care. He enjoys the company of four cats, Ginger, Mischief, Rogue and Yoda along with his two dogs, Schnook and Eli.
